The Vault User Guide
Overview
This Vault User Guide is designed solely for users of the BMS Vault. The BMS Vault utilizes Citrix ShareFile to provide our clients with a quick and easy way to access documents through cloud-based file-sharing. With ShareFile, we have created a secure Client Portal, which will allow you to easily access, upload, and download, documents at any time by simply logging in to your account.

1. Activating Your Account
When you are ready to access the BMS Vault for the first time, you will need to activate your account. You’ll receive an email from ShareFile Support, which will direct you to activate your New Client Account. Make sure to check your SPAM, as this email comes directly from ShareFile Support.

Simply open the email and click on the blue "ACTIVATE ACCOUNT" button.

Confirm your first and last name along with your company, if you have one.

Click the gray CONTINUE button.

Create a password for your account.

Click the SAVE AND SIGN IN button.
You will receive a ShareFile account, upon payment of services and during your onboarding process. If you don’t have an active ShareFile account, you will need to contact BMS to get one.
2. Logging In
You may login to the BMS Vault at any time by clicking here.
If you do not have, or you have forgotten your password, please click the "Forgot Password?" link on the home screen of the BMS Vault and an email will be sent to your account to reset your password.
3. Home Screen
After logging in, you’ll see your Home screen, which shows all of the folders you may access.

Because security is a top priority for our firm and clients, a separate folder has been created for each client and documents will be available only in the corresponding folder for each client. Individual and business documents will not be co-mingled.

Working with your portal folders is much like navigating the file system on your home computer. You may quickly and easily return to your home screen by clicking the Home link in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
3. Upload Files
To upload files after you have logged in:

Open the – Upload Files HERE folder by clicking its title (provided so clients may conveniently upload all files to a central location).​

Click the Upload Files button.

Click the Choose Files button and select one or more files from your computer.

Click the Upload Files button.
Note: BMS will be notified via email when files are uploaded to the Vault. After receipt, BMS will review your documentation and create a folder tree structure to ensure your documents are named and organized for easy access and use.
4. Download Files
To download a file, simply select the files and folders you wish to download and click the Download button. To download an individual file you can also click the file name.

Tip: If you have saved a file and are unsure of the location, check your computer's “Downloads” folder.
